FOMAA's mission is to serve the
800,000+ Malayalee Community in the US Continent
We aim to connect the Malayalee diaspora to enrich their lives utilizing a long-term model focused on paying the knowledge forward across future generations.
FOMAA is the World's largest Overseas Kerala / Malayalee Umbrella organization. (Kerala, the vibrant state known as "God's own County" is the Southernmost state of India and Kerala's primary language is "Malayalam" thus the term Malayalees). Founded in 2008, FOMAA comprises 84 Kerala / Malayalee associations throughout North America and Canada. FOMAA's National Committee is democratically elected bi-annually by the National Assembly, consisting of 7 Delegates from each Member Association. FOMAA is administratively divided into 12 Regions. Our Current Committee took charge on Nov 1st, 2024, and we have a roadmap of over 100 activities lined up for the next two years thru our various sub-committees, projects, and forums. One of the critical goals of FOMAA is to encourage people of Kerala & Indian origin to participate in public community leadership roles.
In addition,
- FOMAA provides Emotional, Psychological, Economic, Artistic, and Linguistic support to the Indian and Malayali diaspora in the Continental USA.
- FOMAA strives to nourish the traditional values of people of Kerala (Indian) Origin and help with the assimilation into the American culture.
- FOMAA coordinates Social, Cultural, Charitable, Educational & Sports Activities on the National and International levels.
- FOMAA conducts conventions, training sessions, seminars, and workshops on varied topics.

FOMAA Helping Hands
is the Social Service Wing of the Federation of FOMAA. Helping Hands is a unique platform for FOMAA Members to come together and support our brethren across the world who are in need of financial and logistical support.
