Kerala Association of New England (KANE), one of the oldest associations in the US with a rich history of about "4 decades" behind it dating back from 1970,(Duly registered and incorporated in Commonwealth of MA on 12/30/1994) is a non-profit, non-political, non-religious cultural organization working towards the betterment of the social lifestyle of the Malayalee in the New England area.
KACT was started with the stated purpose of “encouraging those people with ancestral origin in Kerala, or people who are otherwise interested in Kerala, to form an effective and cohesive group”. It is “an educational and charitable organization formed to foster the cultural heritage of the State of Kerala. This would be accomplished in part through educating the young generation of Americans of Indian origin from Kerala in the language, literature, culture, customs, arts and dances of Kerala.
New England Malayalee Association [NEMA] is a registered, non-profit organization in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, USA. Most broadly, it serves to cultivate and support the exchange of ideas between Malayalees and people of other cultures. To this end,NEMA promotes a deeper understanding of Malayalam language, literature, and art. Through its meetings and programs, it seeks to promote fellowship through cultural exchange and to provide for the artistic, literary and inter-generational needs of the wider Indian community as it interacts with interested members of other cultures. A secular organization,NEMA is dedicated to the enrichment of its diverse membership through regular programs that foster understanding of various rituals and traditions.
Malayalee Association Of Southern Connecticut (MASCONN) is a non-political, non-religious forum to strengthen Malayalee culture and tradition and to give special emphasis to the development of the new generation of expatriate Malayalees. For the younger generation, we pass on the cultural heritage, tradition, the rarely cherished legacy and values while they are integrating into the American culture.
